Top Things People Forget to Pack When Moving!

Even people who make moving day lists tend to forget a few things. Here are a few items people often overlook so you won’t make the same mistake.

Small items from your TV

If you’re disassembling your TV set for transit, pay close attention to the small items. Put those screws and other tiny components in a clear container or reusable plastic bag and label it. Then put it in a box with other important personal valuables and carry that box by yourself so they won’t get lost in the confusion.

Medical supplies

With the stress and hassle of moving a piano or trying to stay on top of everything, it’s easy to forget the little things like your medicines and medical supplies. Make sure you’re covered by putting them all into a medicine kit, then put that into the box you’ll bring along with you, the Realtor says.

Chargers, batteries, cords

It sounds silly that you’ll forget about your cords and chargers. But some people do. Before you slip your phone, laptop, and other gadgets into your bag, check if you’ve packed your cords, chargers, batteries, and whatnot. The last thing you want is to shell out money for new ones because yours got lost or were left behind.

Make-up

Don’t forget your makeup. This should be one of the first things you’ll put in your survival kit or the box you’ll bring with you. That way, you won’t have to worry about them when the crew starts moving out your belongings.

Last-minute tips

  •       Don’t forget to check your shed, attic, basement and every possible nook and cranny of your home. Leave no stone unturned. A thorough run-through will keep you from leaving anything behind.
  •       Make up a list of items you’ll want to pack for every room. That’s going to prevent you from forgetting anything valuable.
  •       Do it in advance. If you cram, you’re going to rush through everything and that’s bound to make you forget important items.
  •       Make a survival kit. Put together everything you need in a small kit. This should contain your valuables, important paperwork along with your toiletries, medicine, chargers, and snacks.

I wanted to take the time to let you know that your men today who moved my wife from Weatherford to Ft. Worth were the BEST MOVERS I have ever had in my 55 years of life. They were genuinely nice, polite, fun, and did an incredible job moving all of my stuff on a very humid day! You have 3 great workers and I would heartily recommend your company to anyone!
